Quick Start — Your First Group LIVE

The shortest path from sign-in to your first group LIVE — add a room, set up a mode, add the widget to OBS, start collecting, run rounds and check your data.

This page covers only the shortest path. Each step links to a page with the details. Before you start, finish Download, Install and Activate and get to the main screen.

The main screen

  • Top tabs: Home (where you run rounds during the LIVE), Team Setup (set up modes and anchors), Extras and Reports. The far right of the tab bar has Logout.
  • Settings in the top-right corner: language, appearance, subscription and more.
  • Help (the question-mark icon) in the top-right corner: opens these docs in your browser.
  • Bottom bar: on the left, the current live room; in the middle, Widget Link: and Copy Link (shown on the Team Setup and Extras tabs); on the right, the collection status, the collection route and the Start Collecting button.

Step 1: Add your live room

Click the room pill at the far left of the bottom bar to open My Live Rooms, click Add New Room, enter the anchor's TikTok username and save. See Connect Your Live Room.

Mode setups are saved per live room, so pick the room first and then build your setup.

Step 2: Set up a mode

  1. Go to Team Setup. In the Preset Configuration column on the left, click Add and pick a mode: Free Mode, Solo Mode, PK Mode, Multi PK or Sticker Mode. The mode is fixed when you create the setup and cannot be changed later.
  2. Give it a recognizable name under Config name, such as the segment name.
  3. In Anchor Config, add the anchors appearing today and bind gifts to them as the mode requires. See Anchors and Gift Attribution.
  4. Adjust the mode's options in the Workbench on the right. Click Preview to check how the widget looks. For each mode's settings, see Game Modes Overview.

Changes are saved automatically.

Step 3: Add the widget to OBS

On Team Setup, select this setup and click Copy Link in the bottom bar. Paste the link into OBS as a Browser Source, or into TikTok LIVE Studio as a Link Source. The confirmation message also suggests a resolution. See Widgets and OBS.

Warning

Widget links contain an access credential. Don't share them publicly.

Step 4: Start collecting

Click Start Collecting on the right of the bottom bar. When the bar shows Status: Connected and the timer starts running, the app is receiving gifts and messages from your live room.

  • You can click it before the anchor goes live; the app waits and connects automatically once the LIVE starts.
  • Route Two is used by default. It opens a browser window to read the LIVE data while collecting. Don't close that window.

See Connect Your Live Room.

Step 5: Start and end rounds

Go back to Home, select the setup you just created in the setup tabs at the top, and click Start in the operation area. The round starts scoring. If collection isn't connected yet, you'll see The collector is offline — start collecting first.

To end the round, click End. The button turns into Undo 3 and counts down; click it again within 3 seconds to cancel. The round only ends when the countdown finishes, and gifts received during those 3 seconds still count toward the round.

Round flow differs by mode. See each mode's page, for example PK Mode or Sticker Mode.

Step 6: Wrap up after the LIVE

When the anchor ends the LIVE, collection disconnects and the session ends on its own. You don't need to do anything.

To wrap up early, click Stop in the bottom bar and confirm with Disconnect in Disconnect collection?. Note that this also ends the active round and gameplay.

Step 7: Check your data

During the LIVE, the operation area on Home shows live data such as the anchor leaderboard. Afterwards, open Reports to view and export each session's data. See Reports.
