Download, Install and Activate

System requirements, downloading from the official site, first-launch prompts on Windows and macOS, signing in, and activating MCA Plus with a code.

MCA Plus is a desktop app that runs on your streaming computer. This page takes you from download to the main screen.

System requirements

SystemSupport
WindowsWindows 10 or later, 64-bit (.exe installer)
macOSMacs with Apple silicon (.dmg installer)

There is no build for Intel-based Macs at the moment.

Download from the official site

Open the download page on the official site and pick the installer for your system. The version shown there is the latest release.

Warning

Only download the installer from the official site. Don't use installers forwarded by other people or third-party download links.

Install and first launch

The installers are not code-signed yet, so your system may stop you the first time you open the app. Here is how to continue.

Windows

Run the downloaded .exe installer. If SmartScreen shows a warning, choose “More info → Run anyway”.

macOS

Open the downloaded .dmg and drag MCA Plus into your Applications folder. If macOS says “unidentified developer” the first time you open it, right-click the app and choose Open. If it still won't open, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, find the message about MCA Plus near the bottom and click Open Anyway.

Sign up and sign in

When you open the app you land on the sign-in screen.

  • Sign up: next to Don't have an account?, click Register now. Fill in Email, Password and Confirm Password, then click Register now. A code is sent to your inbox. Enter the 6-digit code in the Verify Email window and click Verify; once verified you are signed in. If you closed the verification window by accident, click Got a code? Verify your email on the sign-up screen to reopen it.
  • Sign in: fill in Email and Password, then click Sign In.
  • Forgot your password: click Forgot password? and set a new password with the code sent to your email.

At the bottom of the sign-in screen there is a Network Route switch with Primary and Backup. If signing in keeps failing with a network error, switch to Backup and try again.

The interface language follows your system by default. To change it, click Settings in the top-right corner of the window → General Settings → Language.

Activate a subscription

If your account has no active subscription, you land on the activation screen after signing in, showing Subscription Status: No active subscription.

  1. Enter your code in the Activation Code box.
  2. Click Subscribe Now. When you see Activation Successful, the main screen opens.

You can buy activation codes, and new users can also get a free trial code from support. See pricing on the official site for how to buy, and contact support for support details. The activation screen also lists the current plans on the left.

Note

A redeemed code cannot be undone and only applies to the account you are signed in with. Make sure you are signed in with the right account before redeeming.

Your subscription belongs to your account, not to a computer. If you switch computers later, just sign in with the same account; there is no need to activate again.

Membership tiers

Under Settings → Subscription, the badge next to your email shows your tier: FREE means no active subscription, PLUS or PRO means your subscription is active. Without an active subscription (FREE, or a subscription that has expired), you only see the activation screen after signing in.

The Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly plans differ only in length; every feature in the app is available while your subscription is active.

For expiry reminders, renewal and switching computers, see Account, Devices and Subscription.

Updating the app

The app checks for updates every time it starts. When a new version is available you see New version available. Read the Release notes, then click Download update. When the download finishes, click Install now: the app closes, installs the update and reopens by itself.

You can also check manually under Settings → About → Check for updates.

If you see Update required, your current version is no longer supported. Update before you continue.
