Profile Border
Combine a member's avatar with a decorative frame, a name and a line of text into an OBS widget. Up to 10 configurations per live room.
What it does
Profile Border combines an avatar, a decorative frame and two pieces of text into one widget. It's handy for labelling each member in a group stream — for example, placed in the corner of a member's video with their name and title.
Go to Extras → Profile Border. On the left, Profile Border Config lists your configuration cards; on the right, Select frame holds the frame templates. Each live room can have up to 10 configurations, and each one has its own widget link, so you can make one per member.
Creating and managing configurations
- With no configurations yet, click Add to create the first one; after that, click the plus on the dashed card at the end of the list.
- Click a card to select it (a check mark appears in its bottom-right corner). Frame selection on the right and the widget link in the bottom bar both apply to the selected card.
- The top of each card switches between Horizontal and Vertical; the trash-can button next to it deletes the configuration (this can't be undone).
Choosing a frame
With a card selected, click a template under Select frame on the right; the card and the widget switch to that frame right away. Templates are numbered, and the one shown as a "no" symbol means no frame.
Choosing an avatar
Click the avatar in the middle of the card (or the plus if it's empty) to open Select avatar, which has three tabs:
- Recommended: the top part, Recent user recommendations, lists viewers who sent more than 5 diamonds in a single recent stream (collected automatically while collection is running); you can search them by nickname or TikTok username. The bottom part, Member library, shows anchors with avatars from your Anchor Library — see Anchors and gift attribution.
- Upload: upload a local image as the avatar. Only JPEG / PNG under 2MB is accepted. Uploaded images stay here, and you can click a name to rename it.
- History: avatars you've used recently.
At the bottom of the window you can also type a TikTok username after @ and click Fetch to pull that user's avatar, then confirm to apply it to the current configuration.
When you pick an avatar and the name field is still empty, it is filled with that user's nickname automatically.
Editing the text
Each card has two text areas. Click one to edit it, then press Enter or click elsewhere to save:
- The name field under the avatar: up to 24 characters.
- The line of text at the very bottom: up to 32 characters; its look follows the frame template.
Every change to a profile border is saved and pushed to the widget immediately — there's no separate save button.
Adding it to OBS
Select the configuration you want, click Copy Link next to Widget Link: in the bottom bar, and add it as a browser source as described in Widgets and OBS. Each configuration has a different link, so copy once per member. Widget links contain an access credential — don't share them publicly.
Profile Border is a static display and doesn't need collection running.
Notes
- Avatars under Recommended and History drop off the lists automatically after a while; images under Upload are kept.
- The Upload, History and Recommended lists are stored on this computer only and won't appear if you sign in on another computer.
